So, our (official) 3rd doctor’s visit was Wednesday. We actually switched practices (still at Baptist West) and we’re pretty pleased with the new doc. Everything seems to be progressing nicely! The baby, at the time of the visit, was at 7/8ths of an inch and has probably hit the inch-mark since then
We had another ultrasound and, as I relive the moment in my head, actually saw the baby move! Heartbeat was strong and we saw, as can you in the ultrasound pics, actual buds for legs and arms!
As of writing this, we’re at 9 weeks and 3 days… with the 10-week mark coming up on Tuesday, 10/13/09 and the due date, according to the doc, is May 6th, 2010.
BTW, feel free to leave comments below. They may not get posted immediately but we’ll definitely receive them and approve asap. Also, you can email us: jasonandheather [at] heydasch.com.
P.S. – Heather asked about travel (re: her upcoming mission trip to Romania) and even though we started out as “high-risk,” the doc seems to be okay with her making the flight. Of course, we may be as nervous as all get-out but everything should be okay in terms of the pregnancy… she just has to watch out for what she eats. (i.e., no potentially-volatile “fish spaghetti” or anything similar.)
I am so excited about the baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a little miracle! It will change your lives forever and will be the most amazing thing ever. I am so happy that you will be able to experience that kind of love. This is such a wonderful, wonderful thing!! Yippee!
I am so excited!!!! I am going to be an AUNT again!!!! YEAH!!! I will be praying for both of you and the baby every single day. God has blessed you all because he knows you are going to make wonderful parents. Heather I want to give you a baby shower!!!! Here is the first Bible Verse for the baby:
Galatians 1:15
But when He had set me apart before I was born…and had called me through His grace.
Prayer for the baby:
Lord, thank you for calling Jason and Heather to be parents. Thank you for blessing them with a child that you are giving them to raise. As they progress through this process of bringing a new life into the world may you surround them with your love and may they find peace in your name. They are both going to be wonderful parents and will always seek your word as they raise this child. In Jesus name, AMEN!!!
I can’t begin to tell you how excited for your family. What a blessing God has bestowed upon you both. What a wonderful life you have ahead of you. Our children are our joy in life. They give us such hope for the future.
God bless!
